Nobel Peace Prize

I just want to say how wonderful I think it is that Muhammad Yunus was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize on Sunday for his work in establishing the Grameen Bank, a program which, for more than two decades, has helped impoverished people start businesses by providing small, usually unsecured loans known as microcredit.

His belief is that poverty lies at the heart of terrorism. What a liberating perspective that is.

What a wonderful hero for our times and what an inspirational leader.
